This is a very accurate account of how the world can feel to me, especially if I am not well rested or have had to spend large amounts of time under florescent lights, noisy environments,  or socializing with people.

The more time I spend in a place that is not suited to my needs, the more unbearable the sensations get.  I can shut down and become mute, so I have learned to notice the signs of an impending shut down.
